Title: Senior Software Test Engineer

Department Requirements

Senior Software Test Engineer will function as part of a testing team that is involved in developing testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.  Under supervision of a project lead or project manager, they will also identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content; plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates; and design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.

Required Skills/Experience:  

  • Assist with QA testing of new software project development and perform ongoing production defect fixes
  • Coordinate with testing team for projects developed onshore as well as offshore
  • Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review, and user group meetings for quality assurance
  • Assist QA analysts with complex problems regarding testing approaches, application knowledge, and technical knowledge
  • Document, evaluate, and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects as instructed
  • Involved in the development of testing metrics and reports for the QA dashboard to effectively communicate quality measures and metrics to the project team and management
  • Involved in the development of scripts according to the user scenarios in the TestNG framework
  • Automating end-to-end scenarios for test scenarios as instructed by senior team members
  • Assist in building the Test Automation Framework
  • Run individual and Batch Execution of suites as instructed
  • Review test summaries and report to testing team lead
  • Defect detection by manual flows of scenarios
  • Assisting in the complete project life cycle, including requirements gathering, designing, analyzing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining

Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related
