• Assess external/ legislative changes in the U.S. and analyze impact on immigration processes. Identify process and policy gaps, drafting policy and process revisions, and assisting immigration team leaders with the implementation of new or revised programs as necessary. Liaise with internal policy teams and external council to keep abreast of all current and proposed legislative changes.
• Create and build upon operational plans, drive a mindset and culture of continuous improvement;
• Lead and/or coordinate all activities related to special audits, annual audits, and other ad hoc requests;
• Create quality and compliance audits; develop and inspect operational metrics and take data drive decisions; and overall ensure immigration programs have the right processes, technology tools, and automation to allow it to scale as the volume grows;
• Identify areas of redundancy or non-value add to ensure process, procedure, and staffing optimization;
• Create tracking and compliance mechanisms and other dashboards that measure overall health of the program;
• Create, develop, and maintain a pipeline of candidates for the team, internally or externally, to minimize lead time when hiring;
• Facilitate training for mobility team members, recruiting team members, and other key cross-functional teams that play a part in ensuring immigration compliance requirements are met;
• Set strategy across work streams, including contact management strategy, content strategy, case filing strategies, service offerings, strategies to close compliance gaps;
• Review of immigration documentation (including nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions) and help to ensure immigration work product quality/consistency;
• Review and audit existing processes to ensure ongoing compliance and work with the process team to update processes when new policies or regulations are announced;
• Ensure leadership has full visibility of how compliance changes will impact the immigration program;
• Ensure immigration renewals/extension requirements are processed in a timely fashion and do not create work authorization gaps;
• Responsible for partnering with vendors and internal cross-functional teams to ensure applications and renewals are submitted accurately and that compliance requirements are satisfied and scalable;
• Collaborate, at all levels, with internal stakeholders to execute on dependencies related to Immigration (e.g. Payroll, Employment Law, I-9/People Compliance);
• Involve extensive coordination with inside resources across the Company, as well as outside resources such as hired law firm counsel, and document review vendors, consultants, and others on the case team;
• Maintain high level of communication with outside counsel and internal stakeholders regarding troubleshooting matters and procedural issues;
